The ProductTank on 18 November will be dedicated to managing the product lifecycle. We have got three great speakers lined up who will talk about the different stages of the product lifecycle from conception to replacing a product.

This ProductTank has been curated by Mark Preston LinkedIn ( | Twitter (

The three speakers lined up for this month are:

Davide Scalzo, Product Director at Yplan

Davide's talk is about moving through the Idea to Production phase. As this topic is probably the most over-discussed in product management circles, Davide is covering it from a more personal perspective, highlighting how Design Thinking is a great approach to idea development across physical, B2B and B2C products.

Craig Strong, VP Global Product Lifecycle Management at Pearson

Craig will go into what to do once you have established a product market and are looking to grow your user base. The challenge here is that you might lose your early adopters as you grow, and Craig will talk about how to continuously delight customers whilst satisfying new market segments in order to achieve growth and how to use OKRs and KPIs to measure progress.

Lisa Long, Product Manager at

Lisa will talk about 'zombie products' and will look at how you can best manage those products where something turned them from living products into the living dead. Lisa will provide us with guidelines on how to best go about this, outlining how you can start identifying those bits of a product that need to be hacked off in order to make the whole stronger.
