Are you looking for *uninterrupted* time to work on your laptop, read books, pay bills, write letters, scrapbook, sew, or do other table-oriented tasks?
THEN WELCOME TO "PRODUCTIVE PLAYDATES" PLAYGROUP!
We are a responsible group of local parents whose daily juggling would benefit from occasionally having extra hands to entertain the kids part-time.
Whether gathering at an outdoor park, or indoor play-land, or private home, we are exploring different formats and durations, but for now we're working with a 4 hour total playdate:
2 hours of uninterrupted work time, and 2 hours of kid-watching time.
ADULTS, PLEASE RSVP WITH +1, +2, +3 (the ADDITIONAL NUMBER OF KIDS YOU'RE BRINGING), SO THAT WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
WHAT ARE "PRODUCTIVE PLAYDATES"?
Each Productive Playdate consists of 2 halves (1/2 uninterrupted work time, and 1/2 kid-watching time).
Ideally we like to have at least 4 adults at every playdate so that we can work in "Teams". Every adult alternates between the "Productive Team" and the "Playing Team".
Please bring with you everything your child would need for an afternoon away from home:
a packed peanut-free lunch a spill-proof drink a peanut-free snack
extra diapers/wipes spare clothing (in case of potty accidents or spills) a blanket for napping in the stroller, etc.
Q: I'd like to propose a different day/time for a playdate, are there options?
A: We're open to exploring any day/time you need, just talk to Jenna about this option so that we can discuss location and creating the playdate Teams.
Q: I need uninterrupted time to get housework done (cooking/cleaning/laundry), can I host a playdate in my home?
A: We're open to exploring a playdate in your own home, just talk to Jenna about this option so that we can discuss location, activities and headcount.
Obviously, your participation is *vital* to the success of the playgroup. Please arrive on time, so that we can properly balance the playdate Teams and ensure adequate child-supervision at all times. Likewise, it's important that adults avoid leaving early.
Up-to-date RSVPs are critical for everyone's planning purposes, so "No Shows" are positively not allowed.
