One Billion Rising is a worldwide event to end violence against women. It was initiated by Eve Ensler and there are now happenings in almost all countries scheduled on February 14th, 2013. There are lots of events in the Bay Area - from a dance across the Golden Gate Bridge to several evening dance parties - and I am suggesting this one because it is likely to be the most visible in the Bay Area.
Location: SF City Hall (Polk Street between Grove & McAllister Streets)
