Hello. In case you didn't know already, Propeller:Exmouth is a vibrant new co-working focussed on building a friendly community of people looking to start or grow businesses especially for the digital economy. We run workshops, events and meet-ups to inspire and share knowledge about a wide range of topics from: sharing the trials and tribulations of building tech startups; independent film viewings; become a podcasting guru; how the future of technology can help or hinder us. Any many, many more. So come and join us! (...we may even be running some talks on the water )
This is the first of a series of talks with leading venture capitalists. Alex left school to help develop the BBC computer and went on to found the cyber security firm nCipher, which he later sold to the French defence giant Thales.
For several years he has led the seed fund at Amadeus Capital Partners. We shall talk about his background, his investment philosophy and where he thinks the interesting spaces for startups are today.
Alex brings a crazy amount of experience and insight, and it should be one of our best nights.

One of the things we've discovered at Propeller is just how many great drinks entrepreneurs there are in and near Exmouth. At this meetup we are going to hear some of their stories and the lessons they have learnt.
Confirmed panelists so far include:
- Ted Waite, head of operations at Tails Cocktails and a member of Propeller
Owen Davies, senior partner at Maverick Drinks - acquired by the worlds largest brewer, InBev, last year.
We are expecting a really interesting audience with lots of their own stories to contribute so make sure you book early.
