Join me at a film screening of The Greenhorns hosted by Southside Community Lands Trust in partnership with Whole Foods Market. This documentary was produced by Severine von Tscharner Fleming, a Rhode Island native, and features the stories of young farmers across the country.
The screening starts at 6:00, but I'll be getting there at 5:30. This place isn't huge and tends to fill up quickly as far as seating. Usually there is plenty of standing room in the back if you get there late.
After the film, you can stay for a panel discussion with several Providence-based urban farmers. You'll also have the opportunity to hear important updates on the work of the Urban Agriculture Task Force.
