What we're about

For everyone interested in Psychoanalysis, Creativity and the Arts

The Psychoanalysis, Creativity and the Arts Program from the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP) organizes post-show lively conversation panels after diverse artistic performances such as theater, music, dance, visual and plastic arts, film, poetry, literature, culinary arts, martial arts, and other artistic and cultural events.

The aims of the Psychoanalysis, Creativity and the Arts program are facilitating dialogues between artists, psychoanalysts and the community; enhancing our understanding from psychoanalytic perspectives about the intrapsychic and interpersonal processes that make creativity and art possible, and developing new ways in which psychoanalysis, creativity and the Arts can expand and deepen our understanding of ourselves.

These conversation panels are free for everyone attending, however you might need to purchase your ticket for every particular performance directly at the theater, concert hall, etc. Most of the time we are able to secure a discount code for our group. In addition, if you are a clinician or a scholar, our program offers free theoretical seminars at the WBCP for all WBCP members. Clinical continuing education credits CME/CE available for full members. Please contact for more specific information!
