Sorry for the inconvenience. **UPDATE** Meetup rescheduled Hello Readers, I am Sorry for the last minute change, I am rescheduling the meetup to the 5th of June. The book will still remain the same. Hello Readers,

Here's the book for the month of May.

Drive: The surprising truth about what motivates us

Below is the book description from Amazon.

Forget everything you thought you knew about how to motivate people—at work, at school, at home. It's wrong. As Daniel H. Pink (author of To Sell Is Human: The Surprising Truth About Motivating Others) explains in his paradigm-shattering book Drive, the secret to high performance and satisfaction in today's world is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world.

Drawing on four decades of scientific research on human motivation, Pink exposes the mismatch between what science knows and what business does—and how that affects every aspect of our lives. He demonstrates that while the old-fashioned carrot-and-stick approach worked successfully in the 20th century, it's precisely the wrong way to motivate people for today's challenges. In Drive, he reveals the three elements of true motivation:

*Autonomy—the desire to direct our own lives
*Mastery—the urge to get better and better at something that matters
*Purpose—the yearning to do what we do in the service of something larger than ourselves

Along the way, he takes us to companies that are enlisting new approaches to motivation and introduces us to the scientists and entrepreneurs who are pointing a bold way forward.

Drive is bursting with big ideas—the rare book that will change how you think and transform how you live.

We will meet as usual at 7 pm to socialize and start our discussion at 7:30 pm. There is a $3.00 charge to cover for appetizers which you would need to pay at the meetup.

There is a no show policy in effect. If you think you will not be able to make it to the meetup at the last minute please take a moment to change your RSVP to NO. RSVPing YES and not showing up for the event will mark a no show against your name and 3 no shows amount to a ban for 3 months. The sole purpose of this policy is for me to make sure I block the right amount of seats at the location on the day of the event

Really wanted to come but the rescheduling made it really tight, and now a plumbing emergency is the final straw. Sorry!

Hi all, I am over booked for the week days this week. I am very sorry that I have to prioritize another appointment. I read Drive a month ago and I thought I would have lot of thought to share with the group. I really look forward to next meetup.
