If we ask people what they want, we will get many different answers. If we explore these goals a bit (or sometimes a lot) further, we arrive at some form of happiness. But happiness has many faces. And some of them might not even look particular happy.
Next Tuesday we will explore what happiness means and how we can clarify what we really want through understanding how we make sense of it.
In coaching, therapy, mentoring, consulting, many other disciplines and in fact our daily lives, what we want (in the short and long run) matters a great deal. It is a source of motivation and meaning. From experience both professionally as a lecturer, coach, mediator and wellbeing specialist as well as personally, Yannick Jacob has explored many people's goals. Having studied and now working for the MSc Applied Positive Psychology programme at the University of East London he has explored the topic of happiness and wellbeing in great depth.
Pricing: in order to encourage quality speakers who invest time and energy in delivering excellent sessions we would like all pub psychologists to pay £5 a session (preferably via Meetup). If you are unable to afford this we have volunteering opportunities that we would be happy to discuss with you, so please be in touch.
As usual, we invite you to stick around after the "official" session for further discussion or off-topic shenanigans. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
