NOTE: Carpools meet at 3:30. We meet at Warm Beach at 5.
We are heading north to capture the wonderful Lights of Christmas for our December field trip. More than one million Christmas lights will be displayed in a spectacle spread over 15 acres at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, WA. It is the largest holiday light display in the Pacific Northwest and combines live entertainment such as Victorian Carolers in costume, food, holiday shopping and more. Field trip leader Gena Reebs will give out a tip sheet with ideas for shooting holiday lights when we gather at 5 p.m. to buy tickets ($16 adults/$12 seniors over 60) at ticket booth #1 next to the Joyland Welcome Center. Tripods are allowed and recommended. If the weather is rainy, images of colorful reflections can be made and indoor areas offer hot chocolate and warmth.
Carpooling can be arranged. Please RSVP to Meetup and request carpooling in the comment area. Carpools will leave at 3:30 p.m. from the Lynnwood Park n Ride,[masked]th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
