Physical computing in the classroom – meet the Calliope mini
The Calliope mini has been out for a while now and we show you how students are using it during and after their subjects. We will also show the journey we had (and have) to support MicroPython and why we think it is important to support it.

Jørn Alraun is an interaction designer, developer, maker, inventor and co-founder of Calliope. The non-profit company aims to reach for the educational system to convey digital sovereignty and creative coding at schools and to embed it in the curriculum permanently by developing the single board computer called Calliope mini. Jørn focuses on making technology more accessible for children – for almost ten years now.
