What we’re about

The PyData Atlanta chapter holds free meetups that are open to the public. They feature a range of activities focused on networking, learning, and community building, with less focus on traditional seminar formats.

PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data science tools to share ideas and learn from each other.
Interested in speaking? We are always looking for speakers that can share insightful stories about data while exploring the methods behind those stories. Please sign up here. Our events benefit both experienced and beginner data scientists alike.
Interested in sponsoring? Sponsor a meetup by paying for pizza and refreshments. Sponsorship includes a logo at the bottom of our meetup page as well as a spotlight talk before the main speaker allowing you to introduce your group or company to the audience of data science professionals, students, and academics.
PyData is dedicated to providing a harassment-free meeting experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of meeting participants in any form.

All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Behave professionally. Remember that harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate for PyData.
To discuss any issues or concerns relating to the code of conduct or behavior of anyone at the PyData meetup, please contact the local group organizers, in particular Amanda Hanson, Rob Clewley, or Jeremy Jacobson (message any of us on the meetup page). Please also submit a report of any potential Code of Conduct violation directly to NumFOCUS (https://numfocus.typeform.com/to/ynjGdT).
