Talk 1: Fusing kdb and Python for Machine Learning: An Introduction to kdb+ and embedPy

Description: kdb+ is the world’s fastest time-series database, best accessed through its own language, q. kdb+ is being increasingly used for machine learning with Python.
In this talk, Deanna will demo and describe the open-source connectors between Python and kdb+.

About Deanna Morgan
Deanna Morgan is a Machine Learning Engineer at Kx based in London. She has a bachelor’s degree in Physics with a specialty in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh.

About Teodora Olaru
Working for Facebook Infrastructure on systems that have as main goal to help keep a healthy state of the global fleet without human intervention. Currently cultivating my instinct for the infrastructure space while trying to solve more problems than create throughout the development of a distributed locks system. Previously a Software Engineer in the Anti-malware and Cyber Security space.
