Lorena is on the board of directors of the PSF (Python Software Foundation). She's also an organiser at PyLadies Chicago and a data engineer at Github. She'll be visiting from the US to give the opening keynote at PyCon Sweden 2018 and she'll talk to us about her work at the PSF! I'm Éléonore, a co-organiser at PyLadies Stockholm and former organiser at PyLadies London. I work as a developer for Journalism++ and as a freelancer. • ETL Jobs with Airflow, Security, and more at Detectify

We're back for the first meetup of the fall! Eveline Visee from Volumental will talk about building ETL jobs in the cloud using Airflow and Cloud Composer. Data pipelines today are so much more than a script and a CRON job. We will explore how we can integrate Python with external tools (such as those on Google Cloud Platform) to build modular data processing pipelines in a scalable monitored environment Afterward, Martina Janevska from Detectify will talk. Martina started with Detectify as a junior developer fresh from school and has since worked her way up to being one of Detectify best developers and a regular speaker around the tech scene. In her talk she'll tell us about what the OWASP vulnerabilities mean and how learning about them made her a better developer. She'll illustrate this by showing examples of how security thinking made her write better code. We'd like to thank Detectify for hosting us and providing food and beverages for the evening!

The deadline to submit a talk proposal for PyCon 2018 (pycon.se) is around the corner (16/10) hence the rush. If you aren't available on Saturday 13 afternoon [masked]), I can meet up on Monday 15 evening [masked])!
