PyCHO is excited to host Priya Sengar to give a talk about her career path to becoming a Data Scientist.

Priya Sengar is a Data Scientist at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She is responsible for building in-house machine learning projects in Python from scratch for ODU to build out their data science initiatives. She is passionate about Data Science and sharing her knowledge and experience with others.

Here is her summary:
Often times people are skeptical to make a decision in order to transition to a Data Science background if they are from a business or non data science background. Hence I would like to share my journey as to how I transitioned from a non Data Science background to a Data Science background and now working as a Data Scientist as I strongly believe that knowledge shared creates ample of opportunities for others who are hesitant to make a decision.
