Ticket Tracking Systems

  • Apr 2, 2014 · 7:00 PM
  • Q

This will be a round-table discussion led by Aldo Marinero. We will discuss "Ticket Tracking Systems"

·  JIRA workflows, customizations, plugins and usage

·  What other tracking systems others use and their benefits etc.

Please come with ideas and be ready to have a round-table discussion. Food and drinks will be provided by Q.

SCHEDULE: 7:00 - 7:30 Meet & Greet/Refreshments
7:30 - 8:30 Presentation/Q&A
8:30 - 9:00 Networking

ADDRESS:
Q 6080 Center Drive Suite 925
Los Angeles, CA 90045

MAP: http://goo.gl/maps/sAmH

PARKING: Plentiful parking is available at the Howard Hughes Promenade across the street for a $3. Avoid the parking structure behind 6080 Center Drive - it's crazy expensive.

SECURITY: there is a security desk in the lobby, in case they ask, let them know you’re going to Q’s office at suite 925

We look forward to seeing you there!

    The Connector for Microsoft Project

    Jira Scripting Suite

    High level
    Pros:
Customizable, use of plug-ins to complement process/project requirements
Permissions and user access specific to projects
Latest version with a visual diagram/workflow editor

    Lessons Learn:
Define a workflow that meets most needs; not everyone will be happy
Consistency in script creation and documentation when using Jython (Jira Scripting Suite)

Load Test tools which came up:
    Jmeter

Hello everyone, due to the low RSVP we have decided to move the meeting to next month Wednesday April 2nd. We will add more topics to the presentation so we can hopefully have more people join us. Sorry for the reschedule. Call me if you have any questions. Evelina [masked]

I have a handy Chrome plugin that'll display the list of currently active Jira as you navigate through a page. https://github.com/dlai0001/JiraBugsChromePlugin

The idea is to quickly see which bugs have been filed against the current page, to reduce duplicate bugs.

Of course if you have bonfire, that would be better to use. This was when I was working for a company that didn't want to spend $ on bonfire.

Oh, I wish I could drop in and talk about Redmine and the plugin I created for it called Redmine Backlogs but I've moved to Northern Cali earlier this year. Have fun, guys!
