From: Maggie D.

Hello everyone!

It was great to see everyone who made it out to BQS18 last week! For those of you who missed it, we had two great speakers and a number of demos. See below for the lineup from this QS meetup, along with upcoming events in QS and related fields. Hope to see you next time!

Maggie

Speakers:

Darrell Ricke ([address removed]) - presented on an "Integrated Biomedical System" project he is creating. The system integrated genetic (SNPs & Exomes) with health monitors for heart rate, skin temperature, sleep, activity, nutrition, and exposures. Will be available online: https://github.com/doricke/IBio

Alan Bachers ([address removed]) - reviewed what neurofeedback is, what it does, what outcomes result, and finished with a couple of spectacular data sets of Pete Estep's telomere analysis, showing that after a couple of thousand total neurofeedback sessions on his own head over decades, his telomere length is at the level of a 49 year-old, and telomere fraying at the level of a teenager - and he's 70!

Demos:

Thync ([address removed] / thync.com) - a Neurosignaling wearable (early access signup online)

Revvo ([address removed] / revvo.co ) - a Smart exercise bike (fitness assessments available)

Tap2 ([address removed]) - an Active Monitoring system (looking for beta testers!)
