QSXX#10 @ uBiome

  • Sep 9, 2015 · 7:00 PM

We are excited to be at uBiome for this meeting!  uBiome is a microbiome sequencing service that analyzes biological samples shipped in by users. Our connection to this space is through current employee Alexandra Carmichael, longtime QSer and organizer.

Please join us for a fun and engaging evening of Show&Tell talks and breakout discussions on topics such as mood, nutrition, fitness, wearables, and more. Let us know if you would like to present. So far, our speakers include:

Janet Chang - tracking a hormone-related chronic illness

7:00 -8:00 pm SOCIAL TIME + DEMOS

We'll have some light snacks and refreshments available during this social time. Potluck optional - feel free to bring a favorite drink or snack to share. Let us know if you would like to demo anything you are working on.

8:00 pm – 8:30 pm SHOW&TELLS

If you'd like to talk about your personal self-tracking story, please let us know in your RSVP so we can discuss your topic. In your talk, you should answer the three prime questions: What did you do? How did you do it? What did you learn?

If you've never been to a meetup before, you can get a sense of what the talks are like from watching videos of previous QS talks: http://vimeo.com/groups/quantifiedself/videos

Thank you, uBiome for hosting us and including us in your QS experiment! I think perhaps we should run a live experiment at every meetup from now on... Anyone else concur?

Thanks so much, Erin and Kate, we're super excited to host you all at uBiome!

We will have a brand new, top-secret product for you to look at and/or test, for women only, and we'd love your feedback!

There will also be chocolate. :)
