We never have enough time to just chat, so let's plan on a no-presentation meetup. Passive tracking and beers on tap. Hope to see you there!

Strava, the cycling and running tracker, will host us at the end of the month. You may know Strava through using it or from Maria Benet's talk on getting fit in her 50s. To match the venue, I'd love to see some health and fitness tracking talks! If you have anything you would like to present to the group, fitness or otherwise, let me know. Confirmed speakers so far: Valerie Lanard, Quitting TV Betsy Burroughs, Half Way To Losing 100 lbs Ilyse Magy, Know Thy Cycle, Know Thyself After talks, we will have small breakout discussions, as usual. Feel free to bring a snack or drink to share. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

At QSXX #5, we enjoyed seeing Dana's google form tracking project about grief and memory. I'd love to see more of what everyone is working on! If you would like to present, please get in touch. Also, I'd love to have more show and tell of incomplete/in progress projects so that we know what everyone is up to. Are there 5 people who would like to show and tell for just 2 minutes about something they are working on? I would collect a slide or two ahead of time for time efficiency. As usual, expect informal time to chat with a great group of ladies!

If you would like to present or show us something you are working on, please get in touch with me! One thing we will be doing is a workshop on setting up a google doc as a customized tracking app on your cell phone. What quantities would you like to track that wearables don't cover? If you are interested in this, bring your phone and a laptop. We have iOs covered - if you are an Android user who is already doing this (or is willing to try in advance of the meetup), please get in touch with me and we'll set you up to help others at the meetup. Also, as usual, expect time for small group discussion with this fantastic bunch of ladies. We will continue meeting on a 1.5-2 month basis, anticipate QSXX#6 in early August!

It's been a while since the last meet up! After social time, Maria Benet will kick us off with a modified version of her talk: Self-Tracking to Build Healthier Strategies for Aging. We will follow this with small group breakout discussions. Double Union, a hacker/maker space for women has graciously agreed to host us. DU is located on Valencia Street between 14th Street and 15th Street. Check it out at http://www.doubleunion.org. Come at 7pm, and we'll wrap up around 9:30pm. We'll have some light snacks and drinks around, but you'll want to eat dinner beforehand.
