Qigong: The Self-Healing Exercise You Need to Try!
Join us every Thursday @7pm at Home of Om for an hour of Qigong by donation.
The class is open to everybody, regardless of age, mobility, experience and stamina. Everyone is welcome! (please note the studio is not wheelchair accessible)
Every week we will play through one of several beautiful QiGong routines that participants can also practice at home on their own afterwards thanks to our handy "cheat sheets".
Some of the routines we will be doing are Shibashi (18 movements), Five elements, The Daoist Five, 8 Silk Brocades, and others.
QiGong routines place an emphasis on synchronizing movements with proper breathing techniques. Qigong is very effective and easy to learn. It reduces mental stress and physical tension carried in the muscles of the body. QiGong is practiced by over 100 million people worldwide as a way to experience a longer, more active life. The gentle, fluid movements increase energy, open the joints, stretch muscles, and enhance balance. Movements can be done either standing or sitting.
