Qigong (chee-gung) is the study & practice of vital life-force movement through breathing techniques; postures; meditations and guided imagery.
Qi means "breath" or "air" and is considered the "life-force energy" which accesses and infuses everything in the universe.
Through practice, we aim to boost the Qi in order to improve self-healing, prevent disease, and increase longevity.
Shibashi is a gentle, beautiful and flowing Qigong routine which is deep relaxing. The gentle rocking motions and stretching movements improve circulation and digestion. The chest exercises and controlled breathing increase your lung capacity which benefits any lung conditions and asthma. And the overall effect reduces mental stress and physical tension in the body.
This Qigong practice is very effective, easy to learn and suitable for people of all ages and can be practiced sitting or standing.
