The Quality Assurance Meetup group’s first meeting, will be taking place May 4th at 7pm at HUGE. Among things to be discussed: performance testing and automated functional testing and their love child; automated functional performance testing. One of the new and exciting techniques I will be presenting, is combining Selenium and JMeter to create automated functional, and performance tests in one shot. I also will be giving a tutorial on python and selenium, and automated continuous functional testing.

There will also be a video conference, live from Portland, Oregon with the founder of OpenQA and co-creator of Selenium RC - Mr. Patrick Lightbody. Mr. Lightbody will be giving a talk on his creation BrowserMob.

Following, There will be a slideshow presentation by Simon Stewart. Mr. Stewart will be discussing what is coming in the future for Selenium.

Refreshments and Snacks will be provided.

We are looking forward to meeting you.

Seemed that the lion's share of the time was spent on what felt like a sales pitch. I was hoping more time would've been devoted to using the tools. Aside from the Browsermob demo/pitch, all the other information was just bullet points that could've been found on the web. I was really hoping to do more networking and talk more about tips and tricks to getting things done with the tools and hear more about how people are using the tools. I guess I just had different expectations.
