See above!

Are you gathering any data now?

Not now - my band from jawbone broke three times so I gave up until the new iteration comes out. I sometimes use MapMyRide.

Why are you interested in quantified self?

I am interested in more activated, engaged approaches to health research, and think we can do so much more than just collect bloodspots from people. The health movement is ahead of research in this regard, and I want to tap into this innovative thinking and emerging tools.

Can you outline a few of your interests? (This will help the organizers get ideas for presentations and themes for upcoming meetings.)

Using QS in research Reliability of personally mediated data

Hi QS: I am a faculty member in the UW Schools of Medicine and Public Health. My focus is ethics, so why quantified self? I'm interested in innovative approaches to activate and engage people in health research.
