Wearable Devices Meetup

Hey QS people!

Did you know 46.6% of Chinese people are willing to purchase smartwatches? See the Baidu report here in English and Chinese. Many Chinese manufacturers are already churning out these devices for the domestic market like Shanda and Qihoo. Things are definitely getting more exciting in the QS space!

After a long hiatus, we've finally rounded up some awesome speakers that will talk about the technology and trends behind wearable devices and what you can expect to see in the coming year (See our presenter details below).

Whether you are a QS hobbyist that likes to try out devices and apps for fun or a hacker that wants to learn more about the technology, you should come to this meetup!

Our Presenters:

Gaurav Mishra

Gaurav is widely considered to be a leading writer, speaker and changemaker at the intersection of crowd co-creation and social innovation.
Currently, as Founder and CEO of FutureCrafting, Gaurav is exploring how we might use technologies like quantification, gamification and augmentation to improve ourselves and become our best selves, in the areas of health and wellness.
As a THNK Research Fellow, Gaurav is helping THNK Amsterdam build a crowdsourcing platform to curate the insights generated during the THNK Class 4 Challenges on Future of Healthy Living (with Philips) and Future of Early Living (with Lego) into a series of artefacts, including ebooks.

David Li

David is a programmer, hacker, maker, and foreman of Xinchejian hackerspace. He will be presenting on his latest Quantified-Self venture - a wearable device with TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) to generate food therapy suggestion!

Jorjin Technologies

Want to get your hands on your own pair of Google Glass? Jorjin's team will show off their DIY kit for making your own Smart Glass!
