Re: [consciousness-260] Upcoming Meetups

Thank you every one for your feedback and responses.

Location is always a tricky thing. I have a CwG meetup which for the first
time I'm holding at a local library. I would just want to be mindful of how
"new age" of a topic I would hold there, but that is certainly a possibility.
and best of all it is free and somewhat private.

Churches are a good resource, the disadvantage is that it isn't free.
Typically they charge 25 dollars an hour or more depending on the size of the
room. I would like to avoid having a fee to come to a meet up. If we do have
it at a church there are a few Unitarian churches that are very open to
different groups, but the group itself would not be unaffiliated with the
church.

Restaurants are a catch 22. They can be free, but then people sometimes feel
obligated to buy something, or awkward when they don't. I enjoyed the meetings
that we have had at Denny's, but depending on the topic, a more private
setting is certainly preferred. We also had situations in the past where
another party may want the room.

Regarding topics, we can defiantly do the dreams/astral projection topic
again. I like the Idea of sharing what is important. All the topic ideas have
been excellent, and I'm sure in time we can touch on all of them, or
incorporate them into our meetup.

Thank you all for your continued feedback it is appreciated,

~Hank

Ahhh Denny's. Yum! Or IHOP too. Just kidding. I think we need a sacred place
where we can all feel that special positive energy. I'm just not sure where
that
would be. I've heard it said that every church is built on top of an energy
vortex of some kind. So that's something to keep in mind. But to be honest
I'm
not so thrilled about meeting in a church. I've been looking for one like I
used
to go to out in Denver (Spiritual Science/ Metaphysical) and have been unable
to
come up with anything. And before anyone asks, yes I've been to the Church of
the Angels and didn't care for it. But what about a metaphysical bookstore or
something like that? I can do some research and see if I can find a place
like
that, if that is satisfactory to everyone in the group. Let me know.

I've always been fascinated with the "other" dimensions; all there is to
know
and learn that is not the obvious.
I would be very interested in learning more. I miss Penny being here and
having
those meet-ups at Denny's like we had.

To make it a sharing of "how-to" would make it even better. I'm glad that we
are continuing this group.
