  • Drop off your matted photos at Howe Library downstairs in the Murray Room.
  • You must register on line (starting Jan 1) to be in the show - 

    There are 2 drop off dates: (to bring your photos to be judged and hung) 

    Thursday, Jan 26 (5-7) and Sat Jan 28 (11-12) 

    This is the 41st year for the Elden Murray Exhibition and Competition, held at Howe Library in Hanover, NH. 

    This is an opportunity to have your images printed and matted and hung in a show (for amateurs only).   There are several categories to choose from and each person can enter 2 photos (in any category or the same category).  

    Before you register know the size of your finished matted print, the name of your photograph and the category you plan to enter it in.  Please do not write your name on the front of the matt.  You may write the title of the photograph. 

      Kurt Budliger and Michael Blanchette will be the judges.  


    1.  Landscape or Cityscape:  Scenic images with or without buildings 

    2.  Animals, birds, insects:  both wild and domestic creatures; includes macros of any creature 

    3.  People:  Portraits both formal and informal, groups, sports and performance events - anything in which the primary interest is the people 

    4.  Other:  Anything that would not fit into the above categoires (ie:  still lifes, objects, flowers, gardens, architectural details, abstract/non-representation work etc) 

    5.  Photographs taken by people under 18 years of age

    Online Registrations Open:  Monday, Jan. 2  (only online registrations accepted)

    Drop Off Matted photos (2 per photographer):  

    Thursday 1/26    5-7pm 

        Saturday 1/28   11-12

    Hanging Show (we need volunteers):  Friday 2/3,  (all day)

    Reception (where awards are handed out):  Sunday, 2/5   2-4 pm

    Show Dates:  Sunday 2/5  - 3/2

    Take Down show (we need volunteers); 3/3  - all morning

    Pick Up Photos:  

        Saturday 3/4    1-3 pm

        Wed. 3/8  5-6:30 pm
