From Harlem to Hempstead - What Words can be Spoken to sum up tonight's experience at Loli's? Bro. Earl Majette. This Passion Filled to Capacity Performer came and conquered our hearts and minds. Dishing Food for Thought slow-baked in ART. It started... with Open Mic acts including singers Jaysha, LFC, E. Scott, PoemStars' own 'Metapoetic' Bennett, and he soulful vibrations of April Diane.

Thank you ALL so very much for the continued support, for sharing some of your weekend with the Loli's Soul Food Restaurant Family to enjoy a thoughtful meal and create some good times and memories. Stay tuned for updates on the Next Show. AND another round of applause for the Incomparable Brother Earl.

Check out his projects Prophet Margin and Poemography - find it at facebook.com/BrotherEarl and get your copies. Hotep!

    So it's a $5 fee to perform?

Hi Patrick. There is no cost to perform. $5 is admission to the show and then $10 would include admission plus dinner and drink.

Good morning all. What is the dress code for this event? First time going.

Appropriate and comfortable. Most attendants are dressed casual. There has not been a need to enforce any type of dress code.

We are job moving Poetry Night at Lolis to Saturdays, same time. We welcome ALL to still come and share your work, promote your CD, book, products and services at this creative union and over Loli's signature dishes. Considering making the show twice a month, and would love to get your feedback.

Next Show will feature the deeply provoking wordplay and messages from the incomparable Bro. Earl. Check out the event page on FB. Share your input on the show and stay tuned.
