Queens Museum

Let's pay a visit to the newly-renovated Queens Museum, which boasts a huge new atrium and new galleries and studios, not to mention the Panorama (see below). You can read more about the expansion here: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/08/arts/design/the-expanded-queens-museum-reopens.html?_r=0

We will meet inside the front entrance and explore the museum together.

Suggested admission $8

I did not show up as planned. I live not far from flushing meadow park and I had planned to walk over. I have arthritis in my hips and fall a lot because of balance problems. I would have gone but some of the streets are not shoveled and are slippery so I did not want to risk slipping or falling because of the snow from yesterday. The damp weather causes arthritis pain. Sorry I missed it.

I was there last Saturday - well worth a visit. The Panorama has kept up with some, not all, of the changes to the city skyline. The WTC towers are still there!.

The Tiffany glass is spectacular, but there is another, black, grey and white exhibit that is very disturbing.

Hey, it'll be cool to see what the new 'rama looks like; I'm a tentative in (but might be a little late).

I think the Panorama is the same, but there have been a lot of other additions;-) Although the 'rama does change according to the landscape.

Yeah, there'll be rows and rows of glass condos all along the Bklyn/Queens east river waterfront now :p
