This month at Queensland AI it is our pleasure to welcome Dr. Paul Dalby from The Australian Institute for Machine Learning at the University of Adelaide.

The Australian Institute for Machine Learning has 130 academics and students doing research on machine learning and its applications. Paul Dalby, the Business Development Manager, will explore the challenges of working with Australian companies to innovate, and will present his ideas on how they could structure themselves to be more responsive to the opportunities offered by machine learning technologies.

Paul joined The Australian Institute for Machine Learning in May 2018. Since then he has met with over 150 organisations who have an interest in innovating using machine learning. He has also met with many machine learning providers and discussed their challenges in growing their business. He will share his perceptions of how machine learning is being adopted, what holds some of organisations back, and what individual organisations can do to better prepare themselves for an AI-enabled world.
