What we're about

🎸🎼🎸ENTERTAINMENT 🎸🎼🎸

Queers Without Beers is an alcohol-free LGBTQI+ monthly social. Supported by Club Soda ( https://joinclubsoda.com/ ) and organised by the LGBT Foundation ( https://lgbt.foundation/ ).

Everyone is welcome – whether you have never drunk, don’t want alcohol tonight, are looking to change your drinking habits, or have actively quit drinking.

The bar stocks a wide range of Non-Alcoholic wines, beers, gins and soft drinks. This month we are going to be tasting our range of Non -Alcoholic Gins, from Gordons , Stryyk and Teetotal.

On the night is Bender Bingo which is three games for £3.00 with wacky prizes up for grabs. Play starts at 8 pm. Please get to Nexus early to bag a seat and a table as we fill up quickly.

The background soundtrack is provided by our resident DJ. Moody Bear.

Queers Without Beers Virtual Social with Proud and Sober

Join Scott Pearson (@proudandsober) for a weekly online Queers Without Beers Social. Proud and Sober and Club Soda are teaming up to provide a space for the sober/sober-curious LGBTQI+ community for mutual support in this safe, virtual space to meet, chat and socialise from 6.30pm GMT. It has been so popular that we have now made it even bigger and moved to Zoom! It doesn’t matter where you are in the world or on your Mindful Drinking journey but sharing and support on that journey - week in and week out, is something we can all use. Doing this online is one way we can do this when we are isolated and feeling vulnerable. So grab your computer and a nice AF drink, find a quiet space and make yourself comfy. Join other QWB members for a natter, some accountability and some real advice from people who have been there and done that! Celebrate Beer Day Britain with our FREE online beer tasting!

Join Club Soda and Lucky Saint for an alcohol-free celebration of Beer Day Britain. The days of disappointing and insipid alcohol-free beer are over! Not only are big brands bringing out alcohol-free versions of their signature beers but there’s an increasingly dizzying selection of alcohol-free craft beers to choose from independent brewers. Having an alcohol-free beer no longer means putting up with malt-sweet lager. Now there’s a variety of styles to suit every palate, from smoked stouts to sours, and even New England IPAs. Alcohol-free beer is starting to follow the trends set by the craft beer industry, and brewers are making astonishing leaps in both the technology and creativity behind their products. Join founder of Lucky Saint Luke Boase and Club Soda’s beer experts Jessy Parker Humphreys and Anja Madhvani for a trip through a selection of breweries and different beer styles. Beers included in the tasting are: Lucky Saint 0.5% Pilsner-Style Lager Drop Bear Beer Bonfire Stout BrewDog Punk AF UpFlow Pale Ale Tempest Drop Kick Sour Tiny Rebel Clwb TropicaNA You can get all of these beers in one handy box (pick 6/12 or 24!) from our friends at Wise Bartender – already with your discount applied. Then join us live on Facebook or YouTube for a live tasting session. Bring your questions and alcohol-free beer suggestions of your own. And don’t worry, you don’t have to drink all of the beers during the webinar! You can watch it again in your own time. Lucky Saint is a 0.5% Superior Unfiltered Pilsner-Style Lager. Founder Luke travelled 7,642 miles, spent over 700 days in research and brewed 56,628 liters of beer to get to the final recipe. Lucky Saint uses four simple ingredients and a unique process in pursuit of one thing: flavour. Discover biscuity malts and a smooth, citrus hop finish – giving you maximum flavour, without the alcohol. Fancy a case then use the CLUBSODA20 20% off code on the Lucky Saint shop. https://joinclubsoda.com/event/beer-day-britain/
