HUMOUR ~ what does it mean to you? Is it laugh out loud slapstick and clowning or is it more subtle sarcasm and irony.
Humour is a fascinating topic of conversation - and as gay men I believe it has a particular function for us, either as a defence, or for the “ultimate’ put down.
Humour also has a role in trust building. For me, when I feel that someone gets my humour, I feel they get me on a deeper level.
In this session we will take a journey into how we use humour in our lives, our experiences of being the “butt” of the joke and how we responded to and what that meant for us growing up.
Who were our queer role models for being funny?
We will also look at how we use humour now and how we perceive the role of it in our lives and those of the lives we see around us.
Come along and join this inspiring conversation. We look forward to welcoming you.
