May meetup - Data.gov and importing data from the web

In May we will play with some census data from www.data.gov

We'll focus on different ways of pulling data directly from web sites into R.  I'll bring a cheat sheet to work through the quick facts data set available at:

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/download/DataSet.txt

We'll do some plotting and forecasting.

But we can always go off the beaten path and try to do some group processing off-the-cuff.

See you then!

I am very sorry for the late cancellation, but I am not feeling well today. I was hoping that I would feel better after work, but it just got worse. :( Bummed since I was really interested in the topic. Have fun with the data!

Hi all, I've posted a cheat sheet for the for May meetup plus the API function for NOAA PORTS that we looked at last time. You can find both in 'More' at the top of the page, under 'Files'. See you Tuesday!
