Good Afternoon,

Due to waitlist demand, we've found an additional San Francisco venue for the Global Data Science Hackathon this Saturday (thank you, Spunk!).  Tickets can be booked at

If you missed the announcement of the task, we'll be coming up with better and more accurate predictive models of metropolitan air pollution. Full details at

Hope to see many of you out at one of the venues this weekend!

Data Science Global is hosting a 24-hour Data Hackathon on April 28th - 29th starting at 5am PST.    Data Science London in partnership with Big Data Week is organizing the first global data hackathon from 1pm London Apr 28 to 1pm London Apr 29 (UTC + 1). The competition will be hosted on Kaggle, so anyone, from anywhere in the world, can participate. You can download the data, hack along with the data scientists in London, see your ranking on the real time leader board, and be eligible to win the global prize. Data science communities all over the world are joining in Big Data Week by hosting simultaneous hackathon meetups in their own cities. From London to San Francisco, New York to Melbourne, and the list continues to expand.

There are currently two venues in the Bay Area.  One in SF and the other in Santa Clara.  San Francisco is already full but we will try to open up another location for everyone on the waitlist.  There is also the option to register to participate remotely.

Many thanks to Data Collective, Founders Den (SF venue), Ground Floor (Silicon Valley venue) and our friends at HackerDojo and Kaggle for helping to organize and letting us use their space for this first of its kind event!

I want to see Bay Area win this thing!
