About the seminar/panel discussion
This is continuation of the Bay Area Seminar Series of the Center for Computing in Life Sciences. This seminar, in the format of a panel discussion, will provide insights and explore issues regarding the role of informatics and knowledge management dealing with one’s data, sharing with teams and within the context of an enterprise-wide knowledge base. The panelists will describe the evolution of their experiences as to how life science researchers and clinicians use data and tools to accomplish their day to day objectives and how organizations capture and employ IP as a resource for its knowledge workers. The seminar will address 1.) informatics objectives of end users, teams and organizations, 2.) information flow and tools 3.) improving decision making. This seminar will be useful for researchers and clinicians, life science management, IT architects and information systems managers, software developers, statisticians, machine learning researchers, and knowledge managers. The seminar will address issues and solutions and not be product centric.
