What we're about

The Resiliency Center Meditation Meetup is designed for people interested in connecting with others in the community who share their interest in meditation. It is a good fit for everyone ranging from novices seeking instruction in meditation to experienced meditation practitioners who enjoy the power and inspiration of group meditation. The Resiliency Center provides a peaceful and supportive environment for the classes and group sittings. Meditation instructors at The Resiliency Center include Dean Solon, who has written extensively about meditation and brings over 30 years experience with his own practice, and Jen Perry, a licensed professional counselor with extensive training in mindfulness, who brings her deep mindfulness practice and skills in teaching everyday mindfulness to individuals and groups. Resiliency Center Morning Meditation

The Resiliency Center: Your Place for Healing, Education, & Community

Dean Solon leads this wonderful morning group meditation every Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. at The Resiliency Center of Greater Philadelphia. Meditation can be described as "an abiding in one's natural state, without mental complications." During these group meditations, we will be cultivating and sharing clarity and compassion---an unfolding awareness and mindfulness---which may be summed up with this simple expression: A knowing of things as they are. Dean opens meditation by sharing a reflection or meditation exercise and then invites participants to join him in silent meditation. The meditation is followed by time for reflection by all members of the group. Morning Meditation is a wonderful and gentle way to get centered and welcome the morning - and promotes resiliency throughout the day ahead. While there is no charge to attend this group meditation, donations are gratefully accepted.
