THIS WEEK: We are lightening up the climbing this week with a route of through Washington County: flats and rolling hills! Starting at Insomnia Coffee we invite you for a 30-min pre-ride coffee gathering. 7:30 we'll roll out to Dairy Creek, through Cedar Canyon and loop through Kansas City. Nothing too difficult with lots of options to customize if you want less. Route is posted in the Comments section below. Come roll with us!

"Miles and Mountains" (M & M) is a weekday summer series is for gals who are looking to challenge themselves with long distances and a good dose of climbing. Rides may be in/around Portland or out of town; The Gorge, Estacada - and at least two Coastal Rides! Start locations, distances, routes will change week to week. The weather may also impact start time (extreme heat may push for earlier start, for example). So READ THE FULL description for each M&M posting. Remember to also check COMMENTS for updates.

EASIER OPTION(s), MAYBE:
- If we have a mellow variation (less miles, easier pace), it will be posted as a separate ride and hosted by a different leader(s).

WHO IS THIS DESIGNED FOR?
Rides are designed for Intermediate+ riders who are looking for a good workout/training ride; and can sustain a pace of 16-18 MPH (or more) on the flats (everyone climbs at their own pace). Yep, Suzie and Carolyn are taking these rides full throttle. We know you're out there! Not sure? Route will be posted each week in the COMMENTS section. Study it carefully to determine if the ride is a good fit for your riding preferences and abilities. Still unsure? Contact a leader and we are happy to help you sort it out. Since some of us tend to underestimate our abilities, we encourage you to go ahead and challenge yourself, but please download the cue sheet, know your bail-out options or have a plan B if you decide the ride is more than you bargained for. It is up to you to assess and plan accordingly.
