This month the London Naturally Photo Group will take a Sunday morning stroll along the Grand Union Canal from Osterley Lock to the Hanwell Flight of locks.

We meet at Boston Manor Station and take a short walk to join the canal just before Osterley Lock. Despite the proximity of the M4 motorway, there's a very rural feel to this section of the canal. We are likely to encounter moorhens, ducks and swans along the way and will pass several picturesque canalside cottages.
We will then reach the Hanwell Flight – a series of seven locks built to enable the canal to drop a distance of about 53 feet in around a third of a mile.
We will end the walk at Brunel's Three Bridges, a masterpiece of engineering enabling the road to cross the canal which crosses the railway.
From here we will catch a bus back to Boston Manor Station.

At the end of the walk there is the option of a pub lunch (at your own expense).

Most of the walk will be on surfaced or gravel paths, including a few steps, but is uneven in places so please make sure you wear appropriate footwear. Also please remember to bring a drink to keep you hydrated.
