How long have you been riding regularly?

Since 1993

What motorcycle(s) do you ride?

1993 GTS 1000 1994 GTS 1000 2005 FJR 1300 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere

What types of rides do you like?

Route 190 in California, Rte 12 in Idaho, anything long and twisty. More sweepers than Tail of the Dragen type. Riding is like skiing out east. Once you've hit CO & the Sierra's it's tough to find much that compares on the east coast...WV maybe!

What is your attitude toward riding gear and safety?

I put everything on to ride 1/8th of a mile to go to the store! Skin peels at 1" per foot at 50mph they say!

Is there anything we should know about when riding with you?

I'll typically ride in the rear to get the feel of a group. If I'm not "on" my game that day I may not ride, or I'll go at my own pace. More that 4-8 people in a group is too many. Typically we stagger a group if it's larger than that.

I practice what's called The Pace and enjoy riding with others that enjoy that style of riding. In the east I ride my GTS 1000. I've relocated and ride my Yamaha Tenere & FJR in Reno NV and enjoy phenomenal twisty roads right outside my front door.

What Shawn P. is saying about this Meetup Group
