Experience Level: Beginner
Recommended Ages: 7-17 (younger children are ok with help from an adult)
Description: Almost all of us use the web on daily basis but how many of us know how it actually works? In this session we'll spend just a few minutes talking about some of the building blocks of the modern web, and then we'll have some fun remixing a few fun basic projects including...
- Build your own "Keep calm and..." poster
- A random Homework Excuse Generator. (Did you know that "My bunny hid my summary???!")
At the end of the session we'll spend a few minutes playing with the Web Developer tools built into most modern browsers today to take a peek at the code that makes up your favorite modern websites
We will be using the computers in the 2nd floor computer lab.
Note: You must have registered for this class on the Meetup Site. Use the "Additional Guest" for any additional children. Parents do not require a registration.
Parents are required to remain with their child during the session. You may not "drop off" your child.
