What we're about

We are a very social group that also loves to learn (Education), loves wine tasting, music, art, festivals and dining out. What is different about us is we do not restrict based on relationships. We are open to members as long as they are over 21. Our focus is to support local business, wineries, artists and musicians. So we are much more than wine and beer. We are a social group as well as a wine and beer tasting group, and educational group.

We are a fun loving diverse group that love to learn about all of the great wines and beers that are available to us locally and close by. Many of us also love local dining opportunities which combines very readily with wine and/or beer.

We offer a friendly, inviting setting to enjoy outings while interacting. We also enjoy socializing while discovering new wines and brews, taking advantage of the beautiful Rogue Valley. We get together to try out new wines and beers, visit local (and rarely not so local) wineries and craft breweries, wine bars and many area events, including restaurants, art, music venues (concerts in the vines), wine events, park concerts and outside adventures . We are non partisan and do not discuss politics or political topics in our meetups. Please refrain from this to keep it friendly to everyone.

We enjoying touring wineries, discovering the grape making process, from growing the grapes to final production. Some of us have made wine/beer, others have bottled wine/beer. We enjoy and support our local, developing wine region. We are learning about local varietals and the early grape growing history of our region.

We enjoy a wide variety of activities. We have attended ROAM THE ROGUE, APPLEGATE Un'CORKED, CHEESE & WINE FESTIVAL, WORLD OF WINES, BEAR CREEK WINERIES, and many more. We have zip lined, camped in trees, jet boat excursions/wine toured, bike rides, rode horses, rafted, gone to baseball games and attended local theaters. We have toured wineries and breweries, bowled, played billiards and golf and finished with a lovely dinner/wine/beer. We have potlucks/wine tastings, holiday parties, dance.

We love opportunities for education and wine appreciation-- while having fun. Many of us are fine tuning our wine appreciation skills. Wine/food pairings, wine tastings, winery tours, spirits tours, brewery tours are all things we like to do.

Although we encourage group activities, where you will meet many people and possible form new friendships. you can also attend calendar events on your own. The calendar offers a nice service to you, the member, to see local events in our area.

You are required to post a picture of yourself. This is important so we know who to look for at events and assure you are real and not a spammer. If you wish to put up additional photos, you are welcome to do so. You must be using a valid email or any questions to you will bounce and meetup removes your entire profile off their site. Be sure to keep this updated. The mentioned picture must include your face and be on your profile when you fill out the meetup application to join. Thank you for cooperating.

We do require a small fee of $15 cash if paid in person or by mail, 16.75 if pd. with chipped in app. Dues are for various reasons: 1st, there are internet dues associated with using this internet service, 2ndly it is a very reasonable amount for the amount of events planned. All take a lot of hours and time. 3rdly, it prevents spammers from joining us. 4thly, it helps lessen stalkers who might lurk and watch our members activities. Lastly, we are a strong member group and find that paid members participate more and good standings within the community. I do make arrangements if someone has an hardship, just ask or if your trial ended and you want to rsvp before paying, ask me. I have made special arrangements more than once for individuals. ]]You can chose to donate as well if you chose. Thank you all! Your support is greatly appreciated.
