What we're about

(Classes currently suspended due to COVID-19)

We are three karate instructors, each with 10+ years in the discipline. We are looking for engaged students who want to learn a traditional karate style and stick with it. We focus on kata (a defined series of self-defense movements) and teaching the meaning behind the moves. We teach on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7:00-8:30, with an optional practice on Sundays, at Carolina Pines Community Center (https://raleighnc.gov/places/carolina-pines-park). Our classes are somewhat informal, as we prefer to build a bond with our students rather than teach by pure rote. Come enjoy a few classes for free to see if you like it. Normal rates are $40 per month.

Sunday classes are much more informal. If you choose to attend, we won't have a set schedule, but this will give you a good chance to practice. You can also work one-on-one with one of the instructors and ask any questions you have. Depending on the week, we may cancel if the instructors are out of town or have a conflicting event.
