I would think this type of BS might have something to do with enlisting " new members " to your group. You can DELETE my name from your liost as I have NO INTEREST in any further emailings.

An lo, the heavenly backyard coop door sliddith open....  And I watched as if four dreadful chickens popped out from  there in. And the angel cryed out "woe woe woe to the inhabitance of the earth for the four chickens of the apocalypse have been release upon her to bring forth the Lord's wrath!" And lo, a four part and terrible "bock bock booooooock" was heard across the earth. He he he

To all the Backyard Poultry group.  This person does the same sort of thing on another group, The Triangle Homesteaders group.  It is annoying there too.  Is there not an Apocalypse group she can join?

There's no doubt that having your own flock can assist in a long term survival plan, but yes, let's stick to backyard poultry.

Survey: US public still unprepared for catastrophe

In the article further below you can read how most of the USA people are not prepared for 2 days of disaster. Some disasters last longer. Examples: I remember back in 1996 Hurricane Fran had the electricity out of power for more than a week. Also an ice storm, which happened about 2002 or 2003, had the electricity out of power for almost 2 weeks. Some telephones did not work. I have read that Hurricane Andrews damage caused 3 months time to get the affected area back to the usual reality.
Starting in 2011 the disasters have increased. Some types of disasters are happening in additional areas where they did not happen in the past. Some types of disasters happening in one USA area can affect people living in the other USA areas. Some types of disasters happening in some foreign countries, such as the Japan nuclear power plants disaster releasing huge amounts of radiation into the air and water, is affecting the USA people. Most of the USA people do not know what to do to counteract the radiation building up in the water and foods and thus building up in the USA peoples bodies too. The recovery information can be researched via books and the internet using words such as radiation detoxification--remedies for radiation sickness--foods and supplements to remove radiation.
Most of the USA people have not received enough education about disasters, preparedness, and recovery.
There are predictions that more disasters will happen this year and in the near future years.
I am aware of numerous droughts in recent years. I have read in a farmer's almanac a prediction for more droughts in the very near future. Do you know what numerous droughts happening for more than one year will result in? FAMINE ! Most of the USA people are not prepared for that.
One of the predictions is for an E.M.P. which would cause all electricity and electronics to be out of power for a very long time. Almost everything about modern society will be affected. Most of the USA people are not prepared for that.
Since I do not have the ability to spread this education far and wide, it will be helpful for more people to become volunteers to educate many other people. For example (1) forward this message to your e-mail lists, and (2) organize and conduct public meetings at churches, parks, senior centers, high school auditoriums, and universities, with you giving a speech about disasters and preparedness. Not enough USA people having the information and not being prepared will result in very many millions of USA deaths in the very near future. All of the USA people need to be "on the same page" and "up to speed" about disasters and preparedness.
Sincerely,
Deborah

Survey: US public still unprepared for catastrophe

Associated Press

NEW YORK ? Even after 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, most Americans have a false sense of security when it comes to their readiness for a natural disaster or major terrorist attack, according to researchers at Columbia University.
A new survey by the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health found that slightly more than half of all families had no plan for what to do in an emergency like a big hurricane or earthquake. Many of those who did have plans said they lacked some or all of the items that experts commonly recommend that people keep on hand for a disaster, including two days of food and water, a flashlight, spare batteries and a list of key phone numbers.

He said that if Irene, the storm that recently soaked the East Coast, had turned out to be a truly powerful hurricane, "EMS and every other emergency service would have been totally overwhelmed. You wouldn't have been able to make a phone call."

Thomas Jefferson said,

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies...The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
