I just moved here from Memphis, TN and climbed a ton outdoors in Arkansas, Southern Illinois, Tennessee, and the like. Do people climb outdoors here, or is everyone a gym rat? I hear there are good places to go, what are the options? Are the anchors generally bolted or natural?

There's plenty of outdoor climbing in this part of the world. Pilot Mountain is the most popular nearby location (easy day trip; about 80 single pitch routes; lots of top-roping on bolted and natural anchors, some sport/mixed and a little trad) but there are plenty of others around these parts.
