Why buy tickets ahead of time?

Many people like to wait "to see what the day brings" before they commit to attending an event. While understandable, this makes it difficult for event organizers to know how to plan for a program: down to how much food to prepare. Several of our own MeetUps have sold out ahead of time, and fortunately, by knowing there was so much interest, we have been able to change venues to allow more to come. On the other hand, if a lot of people figure "I'll buy at the door"—but it appears the interest isn't there because of low advance sales—we may cancel to manage the costs involved with doing events. So the bottom line is: if you think you'd like to join us, please let us know so we can plan. (Plus, that way we'll have your contact info in case we DO change venues or other event details!)
