  • 8th Annual Thanks-Living Dinner
Once again it's happening again people. I will be having the 8th annual Thanks-Living Dinner Celebration this year. Again it will be held on Thanksgiving Day. I invite you all to spend an evening enjoying a holiday of gratefulness. As we did last year, we will be hosting it in Deland in a home setting. Again I hope to see some of our St. Augustine folks enjoy a shorter drive and again hope that my all time devoted guest from Orlando take the trip up. You'll definitely be happy you did. This menu will probably change slightly in a few days but as of now this is the thought Our dinner drinks will be: Pumpkin Spice Tea, Cinnamin Vanilla Water, She's got a bar with comfy seats surrounding that may have to have a delicious new drink: Cinnamon Sliced Oranges and Spiced Seed/Nuts to munch at will throughout the house. Dinner: Tossed Salad, My Famous "Cranberry Salad", Nurkey Patties w/ Dressing, with Mushroom Gravy, Sweet Potato Pudding and last but not least my home style "Spicy Winter Greens Medley" and Seeded "Rolls" w/ Garlic Herb Buttah Dessert: Warm Apple Cobbler with Yummy Cream. Your cost is staying at $25.00 again this year!

  • Raw Food Pot-Luck Dinner!
I am looking for you all to carry this on without me this month. I will be looking for rave reviews to make me proud for this Thanksgiving season pot luck dinner. Paula, Lee, Rachael, Wendy, Debbie, Curt (who I have spoke with already) please make a couple dishes to wow the newcomers and get them loving raw food. I will send out a help call to my assistant organizers also. The next is an ammended posting from past.....you know the drill. Please pay attention to the highlights to clear some confusion. I will miss you all and see you for the Christmas Party (TBA). I can't wait!!!!! Whole Foods Turkey Lake Store is our Second Sunday meeting place. We will meet on the patio if the weather permits and have our dinner outside; if not we will be inside the lifestyle center. The area will be clearly clearly marked off saying Raw Food Pot Luck Dinner. This monthly meeting will no longer be running on the Whole Foods site. I continue to troubleshoot for the best event ever so I ask that when you respond you say dish or no dish. I do not mind you not knowing what the dish is just that there will be plenty of food. I want everyone to be full to satisfaction. I also want to make amounts that will give seconds and thirds even. Please know that I heard no complaints I just want our conversations and food to equal. We have some of the best conversations, even loving debates, come and get in on them. Again, this Pot luck dinner will be held at Whole Foods Market "Phillips Crossing" on the corner of Sand Lake and Turkey Lake Roads. We will enter and start setting up at 5pm and should start eating around 5:30pm. Please see the thread on the message board saying recipes, recipes, and more recipes for some recipe choices and sites to guide you.
