Free "SuperCharge Me" Movie

Tuesday, November 16,[masked]:00 PM Supercharge Me! 30 Days Raw Ever wonder what the opposite of the film "Super Size Me" would be like? Jenna Norwood takes us on her journey when she enrolls in a raw food detox center and consumes only organic, raw, enzyme-rich foods for 30 days. It's all in an effort to fit into a Las Vegas showgirl costume for Halloween, but the experience has some surprising results. Meet David Wolfe, Ben Vereen, Kathy Sledge and others seeking to resolve serious health issues. Take the mystery out of colon hydrotherapy, too. An entertaining, educational and inspiring documentary. A detoxifying experience! Unofficial PG rating, according to MPAA guidelines. Refreshments will be served following the event. And - the star - Jenna - will be at the event. Jenna is a powerhouse of knowledge and a sweetheart of a gal! Jenna Norwood's film, "Supercharge Me" is an excellent counterpoint to the film "Supersize Me". It was a treat to have Jenna's commentary along with the clips of the film. She showed 60 minutes of her 75 minute film. There was a creative mix of black and white childhood pictures with the color videos of her journey into raw foods. Jenna is a very engaging and funny person and the whole event was delightful and inspiring. I had to buy the DVD which fortunately she had brought a few copies of. The evening program was very well planned with a Q&A session after the film and then fantastic refreshments after the Q&A.

I thought Jenna did a great job answering questions after the movie, but I thought the excerpts shown of the movie and the commentary during the movie was below the level of the myself and the rest of the audience. It would have been better for me to take more substantial information from the movie and presentation itself, rather than just introductory/fluff stuff (like the excerpt of the men in the gym on whether they would get a colonic...funny but not very helpful; same for the composting segment).

Cute movie. About her personal journey. However, I would have liked a more focused, informative presentation.

I thought I would see the film, instead it was a choppy presentation of film clips by the very amiable Ms. Norwood. (If anyone has the DVD, I loved to view it.) That aside, I loved the outing. Meeting Flo, Maxine, Debbie, and Robin was a treat. Our post conference conversation was so enjoyable. We exchanged cards and my next task is to send my info to each person. I am always interested in what others thinking and doing, so it was great to see how RAW lifestyles are showing up on campus. GW has a student led Grow Food project that I applaud.

Great Q&A followed the event. Kudos to the efforts at GW.

This was great! I'm new to the area (3 days!) and it was wonderful to see so many people interested in the Raw Food lifestyle. Jenna was inspiring and I am anxious to watch the entire DVD.

I think I responded both to our meetup email and another link on the original posting -- which eventually brings an Order Confirmation from eventbrite. The same thing happened with the ElizGoRaw Dinner -- needing 2 separate responses!

Did I miss something? There was no mention of tickets (ie., sold out), etc. on the initial announcement? Confused.

I also see that Non GW affiliate seats are sold out. Does that mean there's no more room?
