Let's discuss React's power and share experiences of building apps! React...in the Third Dimension!!! presented by: Broch Stilley Wouldn't it be awesome to write 3D scenes in the same declarative manner as React? In this presentation Broch will talk about techniques used and lessons learned in writing a library to help author 3D scenes with React. Securing Routes with Redux, React Router, and Higher Order Components presented by: Matt Russell Authentication and Authorization are key elements of any SPA. From redirecting unauthenticated to users to Login, preventing non-admins from reaching Administration UIs, and many other controls, Components can quickly become littered with Auth checks. In this presentation, Matt will talk about decoupling Auth from Component logic using Higher Order Components to secure an app built with Redux and React Router. *Schedule: • 7:00 - 7:30pm Icebreaker Game & Introductions • 7:30 Talk 1 + Q&A • 8:15 Talk 2 + Q&A • 9:00 – 9:30 Open / Networking • Please leave the building before 9:30pm *Food: Chinese food from Beijing Wok Pasadena. *Venue and Parking: There is limited parking on the street and paid parking at the parking structure (see below). Give yourself plenty of time to find a parking spot and walk to the building. We are on the 9th floor of 55 S Lake Ave Ste 900, Pasadena, CA. IMPORTANT: The doors on the Lake side of the building will be locked and cannot open after hours for security reasons. There will be someone on the courtyard side of the building waiting to let you in. There is paid parking located in the Pasadena Towers parking structure. When going South on Lake Ave., the entrance to the parking garage is located between the Chase building and restaurant, Del Friscos, on the right hand side. For 2-3 hours, expect parking to be between $12-$17. We’re a little less than a mile south from the gold line Metro stop at the Lake Ave., and Uber is always a good option.
