What we're about

This group of dedicated readers meets monthly to discuss books with nature as an overarching theme connecting conservation, science, sustainability, history, philosophy, spirituality, and art. Selections range widely in genre, form, style, and age. Recent discussions have explored: 1491 by Charles Mann; Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer; selected essays by Stephen Jay Gould; Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver; Henry David Thoreau's Walden; and selected poems of Gary Snyder.
