I called (and placed an order!): it is not available in stores, but only at the farmers markets listed on their site, or by ordering directly from them. It is $7 a bottle.

Thanks, Robert! This is my favorite:
I have never seen it in a store; every year they are at the Chile Pepper Fiesta at the BBG, where I stock up, or you can call them up to order it.

Named after Hunan's most notorious native, Chairman Mao's Red-Braised Pork was as succulent as pork belly can be. No wonder Mao was chubby while millions of Chinese starved. No fear of starvation tonight as dishes upon dishes were placed on the Lazy Susan. Dinner started with cold appetizers, pickled cabbage and ox tongue and tripe with spicy peppery sauce. To answer a question raised at the table - cows are not the only animals with tripe. Sorry, Professor, for not knowing the answer immediately; I guess some things don't change years after college. The fish head was served with its meaty "shoulders" and showered with chopped red chiles that were more fearsome to look at than to eat. Hunanese restaurateurs are such clever businesspeople for transforming a part of the fish that is often trashed into $22.95 of tender deliciousness. Thanks to the repeat Diners and future repeat Diner. Lastly, "Failure is the only opportunity to begin more intelligently" bed.

For those who are interested in the hot sauces I mentioned last night, they are:

El Yucateco, I personally like the Kutbil-ik. I have been luckily to find it at almost all the bodegas or grocery stores I visit. Dr. Gonzo's uncommon condiments is another great one. Try their respective websites for more info.
