Hey ReasonML enthusiasts!
Since we need a better feel for the language and also need to find more topics for our formal meetups, we will organize regular hacking evenings every second week, where we just sit together and code on interesting projects.
Everyone is welcome, especially newcomers!
Topic ideas for this week:
1) Continue our work on our Tic-Tac-Toe app
We already started working on converting the React tic-tac-toe example to Reason! Our current progress can be found here:
2) Port "polished" to Reason (build a Library)
The idea is to rebuild the original JS-based polished (https://github.com/styled-components/polished) library to ReasonML... Nik has deep insights in the actual JS implementation and can give you some hints on how to implement the CSS logic and design the API.
3) Building a Serverless Reason lambda function for our Tic-Tac-Toe
We are currently working on a serverless-plugin to easily deploy ReasonML based functions on Amazon's AWS lambda infrastructure.
Now we would like to write a little Reason function which then can be used for our Tic-Tac-Toe app.... as an example: We could write a function which returns us a stream of valid Tic-Tac-Toe moves, which can be rendered by our frontend.
3) Your idea?
We are pretty much open for everything. Starting from tooling or AST parsing up to UI building or just bikeshedding on the Reason syntax.
We are excited and really motivated about this and we hope you are as well :-)
