Too much stress and tension creates temper, anxiety, depression, anger, and other unpleasant symptoms.
The Recovery International (RI) program, based in Chicago, is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2017! We bring the first (since 1937) and most proven methodfor regaining peaceful and productive lives. There are over 600 weekly self help meetings around the world.
RI's Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT) method demonstrates how to recognize and then change thinking and actions that reduce symptoms almost immediately. Attending weekly meetings reinforces the method and provides support.
No appointment or payment is required. Anyone 18 years of age or older may attend. Meetings are peer-led, anonymous, and open to everyone. Bringing a friend for support is fine. Just show up. Free will donations are accepted.

Neuropsychiatrist Abraham Low, MD developed these self-help techniques which are explained in his book "Mental Health Through Will Training".
There are three parts to the Recovery International Method:
1. Attending RI meetings and giving four-part examples. 2. Reading Dr. Low’s books. 3. Practicing the RI tools in your daily life.
